Licence agreement
When you buy a theme from this store you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it under the terms below.
What you may do
- Install the theme on one live Shopify storefront, plus any number of unpublished preview or development copies of it.
- Activate the key on up to three stores in total, so the live storefront, a staging store and a replacement store during a migration are all covered by the one purchase.
- Modify the theme's code and assets however you like, including paying a third party to modify it for you.
- Use it commercially, indefinitely, including after a subscription ends.
- Install it on a client's store, provided the licence is bought for that store.
What you may not do
- Resell, sublicense, redistribute or give away the theme, in original or modified form.
- Include it in a template marketplace, theme bundle, course, or any product where the theme's files are passed on.
- Run more than one live storefront from a single licence. The three activations exist so one shop can move and be staged, not so three shops can share a purchase.
- Remove the licence notice from
LICENCE.txtorlayout/theme.liquidand then distribute the result.
Modifying a theme does not create a new work you may redistribute. Substantial derivative works remain covered by this licence.
Licence keys
Your key permits downloads, and it is never entered into your storefront.
The theme does ask our licence service about the shop it is installed on: once per visit at most, after the page has finished painting, with the answer cached for three days. It is never on the render path, and every failure — our service down, a timeout, a bad signature, a shop we do not recognise — resolves as fully licensed.
Keys are revoked when a subscription ends or an order is refunded. A revoked or lapsed licence shows a full-page notice over the storefront until it is put right, and while that notice is showing a customer cannot buy. Nothing is deleted or altered: the notice is removed the moment the licence is restored, and the shop is exactly as it was.
Every other licence state — active, in a payment-grace period, or a shop we have never seen — leaves the storefront completely untouched.
Ownership
You own your content, your data and any modifications you make. We retain copyright in the theme itself.
Updates
Updates are provided at our discretion, not on a schedule. Lifetime licences may download every future release. Subscription licences may download releases while the subscription is active.
Nothing here obliges us to maintain a theme indefinitely, or to keep it compatible with future Shopify changes.
Warranty and liability
Themes are provided as is. We do not warrant that a theme is free of defects, will suit a particular purpose, or will remain compatible with Shopify, any app, or any browser.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from a theme is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Termination
This licence ends if you breach it — in particular by redistributing the theme. On termination you must stop using the theme and delete every copy.
